4-Day Tanzania Safari: Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, Tarangire offers stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. After a mid-morning game drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River, a prime location for wildlife sightings. In the afternoon, continue exploring before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous national park. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering scenic views along the way. By midday, you’ll enter the Serengeti and enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is home to an astonishing array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and massive herds of wildebeests and zebras. As the sun sets over the endless plains, you’ll head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, a perfect time to spot predators on the hunt. After breakfast at your camp, continue exploring the park before heading toward Ngorongoro. En route, you’ll enjoy another game drive, with a picnic lunch in the wild. Arriving at Ngorongoro in the late afternoon, you’ll check in at your lodge or camp on the crater rim, where you’ll have dinner and rest for the night.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable safari experience. The crater floor is a haven for wildlife, with dense populations of lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and hippos. You’ll also see vast herds of zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. A picnic lunch will be served near a hippo pool, followed by a final game drive. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
